Proper Substrate Preparation
Beautiful tile work starts below the surface. I never skip substrate prep — that means leveling floors with self-leveling compound when needed, installing cement board or Schluter DITRA uncoupling membrane, and ensuring every surface is flat, clean, and ready to bond. This is where shortcuts cause failures, and I don’t take shortcuts.
